The BC People First Society (BCPF) is a non-profit provincial organization that is part of an international movement. We work to make sure that people with developmental and intellectual disabilities are respected and included in our communities as full citizens. We do this by supporting each other to speak up for ourselves and by sharing advocacy skills with each other. We are fundraising to support our current initiatives and programs such as advocacy skills building presentations and workshops for self-advocates across BC. Meeting our fundraising goals will also give us the ability to promote our Plain Language Translation services and to support organizations across BC to turn their important documents into plain language so more people have access to the information. #NothingAboutUsWithoutUs #InclusionRevolution #AdvocacyMatters #BCPeopleFirst
